Delivery Estimates
Special-order shafts are now quoted at the realistic outer figure rather than the best case.
We hand out a card with every ledger. These are the ones people filled in and gave us permission to publish, including a couple that are not entirely flattering.
★★★★★They weighed my irons before we talked about anything at all. Three of them were more than a swingweight point off the rest of the set, and I had spent two seasons blaming my hands for the 6-iron.
Roland PettigrewIron set rebuild · Cordova
★★★★★Came in for a new putter and left with the one I already owned, shortened and counterweighted. Cost me less than a hundred dollars. Terrance talked me out of a purchase, which I did not expect from a shop.
Delia MarchettiPutter bench · Germantown
★★★★★The ledger card is the part nobody else does. I took mine to a shop while travelling and they matched a replacement wedge exactly without a single phone call back to Memphis.
Aaron Whitlock-BeyWedge build · Midtown
★★★★★Naomi stopped my driver session halfway through because my strike pattern had fallen apart and told me to come back on a different day. Rescheduled at no charge. That is not how any other fitting I have had was run.
Curtis BallantyneDriver build · Arlington
★★★★★My husband and I both went through the bag audit on the same afternoon. Two completely different answers from the same shop, which reassured me more than anything else could have.
Yolanda PrewittFull bag audit · Collierville
★★★★☆Excellent work and the clubs are right. The wait for my shaft to arrive was nine days rather than the four I was told, and I would rather have been given the longer number up front.
Marcus ThreadgillFairway wood build · Bartlett
★★★★★I play twice a week and never once thought about grip weight. Going from a heavy corded grip to a standard one changed the feel of my whole set more than any shaft ever has.
Priscilla ObuyaSet regrip and rebalance · East Memphis
★★★★★Brought my son in twice in eighteen months as he grew. Both times they adjusted what he already had rather than selling a new set. The second visit cost forty dollars.
Dwight FerridayJunior refit · Southaven
★★★★★Wendell re-measured my irons the morning after building them and found one club half a point out. He rebuilt it before I ever saw the set. I only know because it was noted on the card.
Simone Ashcroft-VineIron set build · Downtown
★★★★☆The measurement work is genuinely excellent. The shop itself is small and there is nowhere comfortable to sit while you wait, which is worth knowing before you turn up with a spouse.
Gerald UmsteadWedge session · Millington
★★★★★I had a shoulder reconstruction and could not carry my old set any more. They rebuilt the whole bag forty grams lighter per club without wrecking the balance. Playing again at sixty-one.
Harriet Boaz-LindellFull bag rebuild · Germantown
★★★★★My old ferrules had gaps behind them on three wedges and I had no idea that was even a thing. Ravi turned new ones flush and explained exactly why the sand had done it.

Both complaints above are fair. The shaft delivery estimate was optimistic and we now quote the longer figure by default. The seating in the front room is genuinely poor, and until we take on more floor space it will stay that way — so we say it out loud rather than letting people find out on arrival.

A text now goes out the day before with what to bring, after several people arrived in street shoes.
Still two chairs and a bench. We would rather spend the floor space on the component room, and that is not going to change soon.
Every ledger comes with one. Write whatever you actually think — the four-star cards on this page are the reason two things about the shop got better.
